COMMUNION SUNDAY

This Sunday at 10:45 AM, Greenville First family and friends will gather for a special morning of worship, the Lord’s Supper, and a message from Acts 27 entitled Shipwrecked.

The service will begin with Communion as the church pauses to remember Christ’s sacrifice and celebrate the hope found in him.

Life does not always unfold as planned. Unexpected storms and seasons of uncertainty can leave people wondering what comes next. In Acts 27, the Apostle Paul found himself caught in a violent storm that ended in a shipwreck, yet God’s promises remained steadfast through it all. Pastor Jim will bring this encouraging message offering hope and strength for anyone navigating a difficult season.

Invite a friend and join the Greenville First family this Sunday at 10:45 AM

YOUTH FUNDRAISER

Our 252 Students are gearing up for Youth Quest at Emmanuel University, and the church family has an opportunity to help make the trip possible.

Envelopes numbered $1–$100 will be available in the Sanctuary Foyer. Simply choose an envelope and donate the amount shown on the front. Every gift, large or small, helps offset the cost of transportation, lodging, meals, and event expenses for students attending this life-changing week of worship, discipleship, and spiritual growth.

Thank you for investing in the next generation and helping our teens experience all that God has planned for them at Youth Quest. Be sure to stop by the display in the foyer and purchase an envelope to show your support.

If you would like to invest in this trip right now, you can click the link below to access the church website giving portal. Simply choose “252 Youth Quest” from the dropdown menu and follow the prompts.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY MEETINGS

The Women’s Ministry will gather on Monday, June 8, in the Fellowship Hall, with two opportunities available for ladies to participate.

The Brunch Circle will meet at 11:30 AM. This promises to be a memorable gathering as Juanita Russell presents the program. Lunch will feature deli meats and salads provided by Jean Gore. Ladies are also encouraged to support Julia’s Well by bringing a couple of canned goods from the pantry.

The Night Circle will meet at 6:30 PM for Picnic in His Presence, an evening of food, fellowship, and devotion. A delicious meal of ham, potato salad, green beans, rolls, and dessert will be provided by Gwin Bailey, Rebecca Thomas, Christian Holland, and Beth Thomas.

Whether attending the Brunch Circle or the Night Circle, every lady is invited to enjoy a meaningful time of friendship, encouragement, and spiritual connection.

FIRST THINGS FIRST PRAYER

First Things First is a weekly early morning prayer gathering designed to help believers seek God before the demands of the day begin. Meeting each Tuesday at 7 AM in the Worship Center, this guided time of prayer follows the pattern Jesus gave in the Lord’s Prayer and leads participants through seven focused moments of prayer and reflection.

Each week includes intentional times of Praise, Priority, Provision, Pardon, Power, and Presence, ending once again in Praise as hearts and minds are centered on God’s greatness, his kingdom, his provision, his forgiveness, his strength, and his voice.

All are invited to begin the day by seeking God together through Scripture, worship, surrender, and prayer.

The faithful and sacrificial giving of the family and friends of the church ensure the Gospel is preached and the Kingdom of God advances onward!

Sunday in-person giving can be done by placing checks/cash/tithing envelopes in the dropboxes located at each Sanctuary entrance. To give in person during the week, see Yvette Lewis in the church office or place your offering in the dropbox located by the office door.

ADULT BIBLE STUDY

JOY ON THE INSIDE
Philippians: Paul’s Prison Letter to a Worried World

What happens when life feels confining, stressful, uncertain, or heavy? The book of Philippians gives us a surprising answer: joy.

Written by the apostle Paul while sitting in a prison cell, Philippians is one of the most hope-filled and encouraging books in the Bible. Even in chains, Paul discovered a joy that circumstances could not steal.

Join Pastor Jim on Wednesday nights in June for Joy on the Inside, a 4-week Bible study through Philippians. Come explore how to find peace in anxious times, purpose in difficult seasons, and lasting joy that comes from Jesus not your circumstances.

Whether you’re walking through stress, disappointment, worry, or simply need renewed encouragement, this study is for you. Come discover how joy can grow on the inside…even when life feels hard on the outside.
