The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. … The Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make a helper suitable for him’….Then the Lord God made a woman.” (Genesis 2:7, 18 & 22)
What a powerful statement, penned for such a time as this! We, at The First, believe strongly in the institution of marriage and in the Biblical standards by which it was formed. Our purpose is to provide and support those in our community who have chosen to make such resolve. For couples that have chosen to become married, we provide a warm, loving and supportive staff to assist them in their endeavor. The choice of our beautiful and spacious sanctuary or the intimacy of our annex chapel is the beginning of such a memorable occasion. Our services range from premarital counseling to post function janitorial services. The happy couple will have options ranging from the choice of a minister to perform their ceremony to a plethora of talented musicians who will make their special day more memorable. Our wedding coordinator will assist them in making their wedding day planning a time to cherish. We believe that marriage is a holy and
honorable estate and are reminded by the Word of God that it should not be entered into lightly. Our desire is to offer support and guidance to those wanting to make such a commitment. It is our delight to offer such a service to those in our community who may or may not have a church home.
