Our Values
We value and strive toward a worship and fine arts ministry with following characteristics:
• All participants in the Fine Arts ministry should be worshippers at heart, in harmony with God, in agreement with the vision of this church, and committed to service through and fine arts ministries.
• Fine Arts ministries should be well rounded, inclusive and highly corporate in praise and worship. All facets of fine arts ministry are equally important; we invite as many people as possible to participate and we are committed to leading the congregation in worship.
• We believe in a God-centered, Christ-directed, and Spirit-lead selection of music. God’s direction is more important than personal preference.
• We use a variety music styles. We will not dismiss meaningful praise and worship music on basis of style.
• We aspire to musical excellence as a means, not as an end. A planned well-rehearsed worship team will eliminate distraction and allow focus on leading worship effectively.
As a lead worshiper, you are encouraged to participate in weekly discipleship class and personal Bible study. First Pentecostal offers a variety of opportunities through Pathway to Purpose Sunday morning discipleship.
