The second step of our three-step discipleship process is Developing Real People. When God created Adam, He created him perfectly without sin and gave him a destiny assignment to exercise God’s authority in the physical domain. When sin entered the creation man’s perfection was lost and his destiny was compromised.
When we target the objective of Developing as Real People, we are calling for a return to the original design of God’s creation. Since the fall of Adam there has been only One person who functioned in perfection without sin and exercised the authority of God in the physical domain. His name was Jesus, the only begotten Son of God. Jesus is the example and measure of what it means to become REAL.
The Bible, God’s Inspired Word, is the manual that guides our development as a real person. The exploration of God’s Word in the context of the community of faith allows us to learn the Word correctly, apply it to everyday life and use it to inspire faith in the hearts of others.
