PURPOSE

The CARE Ministry at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church is designed to meet the needs of our Visitors by accepting them and loving them just the way they are. Care Team members are taught to welcome the visitor warmly, to engage them in casual conversation, and to affirm them by introducing them to other members of the Care Team and other believers. The philosophy of ministry of the Care Ministry is that being part of a church is not simply attending meetings, but relationships – relationships with God and one another. Jesus modeled this philosophy by discipling men and women through personal relationships. Care Ministry provides the opportunity for all of us to relationally reproduce our faith, ministry, vision, and values into the visitors that God has sent to us.

The Vision of the Harvest

“ . . . The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38

The church that meets the needs of their harvest – the visitor – will be the church that grows. The harvest for the First Pentecostal Holiness Church is the Visitor. God has appointed a harvest for our church. Care Ministry believes that it is not by accident but by appointment that visitors come to our church.

The Care Ministry of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church consists of Greeters, Ushers, Intercessory Prayer, Cookie Ministry, and our Information Center.

Greeters

greeters

Our greeters greet the visitors and spend a few minutes right then getting to know them and introducing them to other team members. After collecting visitor information, the greeter escorts them to the areas they need to go and help them find a seat in the sanctuary.

Ushers

ushers

Our ushers take up the offering, lock up the facility, and help to ensure our premises are secure during the church service.

Intercessory Prayer

A unique ministry at the First Pentecostal Holiness church is the Intercessory Prayer time during the service. We have a designated time where our prayer warriors go around and meet the needs of our visitors and members of the church through the power of prayer.

Cookie Ministry

Every First Time Attender at our church will receive a bag of fresh baked cookies at the close of the service. These cookies are a way of thanking our visitors for visiting with us and is another way to show that we Care here at our church.

Information Center

The Information Center is designed to get contact information from our visitors, distribute the free gifts we have for our visitors, distribute the cookie bags, and give out church information to our visitors and members of our church.
